The City that Stole My Heart

Melbourne. Well known for its concentrated art culture, a mix between Perth and yet, not losing the buzz city lifestyle filled with life. I have been anticipating to go to Melbourne for the last few years, and thankfully my girlfriend and I decided to make it happen a few months back and that's when we bought our tickets and there isn't any way back! ;-) Two students whom met all the way back in uni whilst studying accounting, both of us having a burning passion for photography and fashion styling respectively. We figured that we could make this trip our first collaboration together, considering that she's moved to Sydney and I'm still here in Perth! Therefore, this mini reunion could be our first step to a bigger path down our dreams. Took the earliest flight to Melbo[...]

WOW GUYS, I just came back from the best styling class ever and I almost cried a happy tear. I can't really say much but I think what ever that is happening to me right now, there's a reason on why it's happening, even if it looks bad on the first impression. All I have to say is that, it was the most inspirational class, EVER. Shall elaborate more on that when my kind of miracle happens. ;-) Well look at what I've got here, my long obligated post but as the saying goes, it's better late than never! It's been a ALMOST a year since Perth Royal Show 2011, I know that because P.R.S 2012 is taking place not long from now! Hadn't noticed that these were sitting in a hidden folder all these while, which now explains why I've always had that tingly obligated feeling, as I always reassure[...]

Being Bright at the Museum

Pun intended haha. It has been the same old weekly routine, spending one of the days during the weekend in the library to studying as much as we could to cover up what we procrastinated during the week seems like the only way to sustain a passing grade for our final exam haha! Little did we know that there was a museum exhibition on animal fossils, so we got a little distracted ahahahhahaha! We both agreed that we definitely need to get our priorities right theeeeeeeeee NEXT TIME. Ughhhh this is so wrong from this angle now that I take a closer look at it HAHAHAHAHHA! Fully illustrated process of how fossils are created, not teeheehee. It's quite eerie to be surrounded by so many skeletons but it certainly is interesting to see what's b[...]

Winter Flowers

*Takes a deep breath* It's been more than a week since I've last blogged and this is not the way I want it to happen, but I just finished my night styling class as I'm drafting this post down for a scheduled post! I signed up for another short creative course over at Central Tafe and this time, it's Fashion Styling and Accessorising. Thought I needed a little bit of a kick start if I plan to head down that career path in the future, and it is indeed an eye opening experience just to hear what the experienced stylists are telling you what they can! I guess I just need to start somewhere, and establish a brand for myself in order to put myself out there. On a side note, juggling between styling classes, CPA and work isn't easy but I would probably say that it all boils down to my[...]

Lady Gaga Concert x Versace

Months before the much anticipated Lady Gaga's concert, I've been cracking for ideas with Joy on what to wear. We've came up with: - buying police tapes from Bunnings and just wrap around myself under a black dress, - borrow Joy's paper lanterns and squeeze my arms through it as sleeves, I even bought a pink feather skirt when I'm broke but that's okay, I've consoled myself that it's worth it for the concert solely for the concert!! But alas, I sticked to my trusty ol' Versace for H&M dress because it's crazy and loud enough for Lady Gaga. And most important of all, it's long sleeves because I'm such a wuss when it comes to the cold. Bleaghhh. I didn't think that the idea of seeing Lady Gaga had sink into my head then. Speaking of which, it was such a difficult t[...]

Modern Classic

The shortest day of the year has been long gone but it's still freezing on certain days though we're gradually moving into Spring. I'm waiting impatiently for the sun to stay longer during the days now, so I don't have to rely on tights to keep my legs warm every time i wear a skirt out! But then again, I clearly remembered how I was longing for winter last year, just so I could put this soft faux fur coat on and stroke myself every second. As I was saying in the last few post that I was a big fan of dalmatian spots and probably still am, this has to be one of the items that's most closely related to the movie character, Cruella De Vil. But of course, I'm far different from her context of love for dalmatian prints! I think going to Toast is becoming one of my re[...]

No idea why but when I first saw this pair of yummies, it reminded me of Isabel Marant's zora leather lacquer-wedge sandals instantly. Though it's not exactly similar in every way, though that would be a total rip off but I love how it adds a few inches of height without sacrificing the ease to walk in it. Always on the look out for statement shoes, I forgot how easy it was to settle with pieces that are less attention seeking. I had wanted to buy the same pair in a gold one but it was sold out fortunately (I guess) which led me to this minty shade instead. Venturing into pastels in a few different colours, I've decided to keep it within the cooler hues to keep the outfit soft. Amazingly, I've found a wall when I was walking past a back alley and it reflected the c[...]

Flamingo Tango

I don't know if it's just me or this happens to everyone else but I get obsessed with an animal, and it changes every 6 months. Weird thing is, whenever I go crazy about it, all the prints on clothes seems to be revolving around that animal (i.e Dalmatian the last 6 months, look how many new arrivals comes in dalmatian prints and pattern). To be honest, I've been secretly thinking that maybe, just maybe this is the reason of my existence in predict the next 'IT' animal HHAHAHAHAHA! Definitely widening the range of jobs in the fashion industry ay. Can you imagine if I were to tell people what my job is when I meet new clients? Hi there, I'm the animal predictor for next season's prints. How do you do? Certainly something worth thinking about! Of course, it's obvi[...]

Style Diary : Sporty Casual

Is everyone getting excited for the upcoming London Olympics yet? Listening to the live broadcast of English radio station at work daily, and following the news about where the torch is, it had definitely got me all worked up with the Olympics spirit as well! Of course, this has got me stealing some inspiration to don on the sporty vibe and what better is there to walk in none other than a pair of stylish sneaker wedge? Doesn't it just make you think of a poster ad with the slogan 'You'll never walk alone'? Just something that pops into my mind whenever I look at it, and I know that no matter what decisions I make or path I take, there will always be people around giving all the love and support. Playing with a few key trend[...]
