Melbourne by Night

There is a saying that goes by 'everything changes when the night falls'. I can say that Melbourne city is living up to that phrase without a doubt in mind. I didn't know how many times have I repeated this to both Joanne and Boon Hee, but oh yes, they have to bear with my constant squirms of how I feel so alive whenever I walk the streets of Melbourne. Isn't the view behind just breathtaking? It's been a long time since I've surrounded myself with skyscrapers and I truly missed being the city girl at heart. We both got a change of outfits after Mount Dandenong to get all sparkly for a night of fun and adventure! Prior to that, we had dinner at Madang that was tucked hidden at a corner, and knowing that Joanne was with us, Korean food was definitely inevitable. [...]

A Taste of Melbourne's Hillside

You would think that we will be spending our entire time in the city when we're in Melbourne. But when the third day of our trip came, we've conquered the marvellous picturesque city, had our fair share of the breezy ocean and breathed the crisp luscious air of Melbourne's hillside. While we were on our way back to Melbourne from the Great Ocean Drive the day before, Boon Hee (our nicest host in Melbourne) rang Joanne and asked if we would love to join his family for a day at Mount Dandenong! Without a doubt, we didn't give it a pass and went for it although we didn't know exactly where that's supposed to be but OKAY, LET'S GOO!!!! The only description that we have of this place was that everybody comes here for scones and jam at Miss Marples' Tea House! An hour drive out fro[...]

The Great Ocean Drive

After spending all day in the city a day before, we thought that it will be the next best thing to travel further down to the Great Ocean Drive just to surround ourselves with the amazing beauty of mother Earth. Long before the trip, this was one of top of our 'Must-Visit' places in Melbourne and I'm really glad that Valerie agreed on taking us on this road trip! I told her that she had just signed up for a big deal of fun with me around when it comes to a road trip! A great big thank you to you, valerie! It couldn't just get any better when Valerie took us for some breakfast at a small cosy cafe called Hardware Societe which was located nearby our apartment before adjourning on the few hours of long drive. She reckoned that this was a good place for b[...]

Boxing Day

A day that we've been waiting for all year round, to be honest, I hardly shop whenever I'm in Australia, and that is definitely not an understatement that's coming from me. Reason being that I believe everything is overpriced here for some reasons. But then again, I expected myself to go crazy beforehand considering that boxing day sales has to be the craziest all year round, and with stories from everyone on how there is a queue starting from early wee hours of the morning, it would be sensible to think that there has to be a lot of great bargains isn't it? Thankfully we're staying right smack in the middle of the city so it would only take a few minutes of walk to the city centre! Ahhh, the perks of staying in the city. It wasn't long till we wal[...]

The City that Stole My Heart

Melbourne. Well known for its concentrated art culture, a mix between Perth and yet, not losing the buzz city lifestyle filled with life. I have been anticipating to go to Melbourne for the last few years, and thankfully my girlfriend and I decided to make it happen a few months back and that's when we bought our tickets and there isn't any way back! ;-) Two students whom met all the way back in uni whilst studying accounting, both of us having a burning passion for photography and fashion styling respectively. We figured that we could make this trip our first collaboration together, considering that she's moved to Sydney and I'm still here in Perth! Therefore, this mini reunion could be our first step to a bigger path down our dreams. Took the earliest flight to Melbo[...]

Carnival

WOW GUYS, I just came back from the best styling class ever and I almost cried a happy tear. I can't really say much but I think what ever that is happening to me right now, there's a reason on why it's happening, even if it looks bad on the first impression. All I have to say is that, it was the most inspirational class, EVER. Shall elaborate more on that when my kind of miracle happens. ;-) Well look at what I've got here, my long obligated post but as the saying goes, it's better late than never! It's been a ALMOST a year since Perth Royal Show 2011, I know that because P.R.S 2012 is taking place not long from now! Hadn't noticed that these were sitting in a hidden folder all these while, which now explains why I've always had that tingly obligated feeling, as I always reassure[...]

Winter Flowers

*Takes a deep breath* It's been more than a week since I've last blogged and this is not the way I want it to happen, but I just finished my night styling class as I'm drafting this post down for a scheduled post! I signed up for another short creative course over at Central Tafe and this time, it's Fashion Styling and Accessorising. Thought I needed a little bit of a kick start if I plan to head down that career path in the future, and it is indeed an eye opening experience just to hear what the experienced stylists are telling you what they can! I guess I just need to start somewhere, and establish a brand for myself in order to put myself out there. On a side note, juggling between styling classes, CPA and work isn't easy but I would probably say that it all boils down to my[...]

Style Diary : Sporty Casual

Is everyone getting excited for the upcoming London Olympics yet? Listening to the live broadcast of English radio station at work daily, and following the news about where the torch is, it had definitely got me all worked up with the Olympics spirit as well! Of course, this has got me stealing some inspiration to don on the sporty vibe and what better is there to walk in none other than a pair of stylish sneaker wedge? Doesn't it just make you think of a poster ad with the slogan 'You'll never walk alone'? Just something that pops into my mind whenever I look at it, and I know that no matter what decisions I make or path I take, there will always be people around giving all the love and support. Playing with a few key trend[...]

All Things Girly

The weeks are flying past so quickly now that I've got so many things on hand. I've taken up fashion illustration night classes and I have to say, it's one of the best decisions made. Apart from that, I've also joined my company's australian touch footy team and our strategy is be the winner among the losers because we're that bad! Anyway, I've been fiddling with my memory card and I realised that I have not posted these that I've taken a few months back! The jelly flats sure did made a few appearances before but it's just the glossy appearance in these photos that making me wanting to show them in all its glory again. Plus, that's my first ever piece of pyjama shorts from Peter Alexander and I got it during 50% discount sales which couldn't make me happier![...]
