Geometry

Simply iconic and exclusive to Sydney, visiting the Opera House was undoubtedly one of the places TO VISIT whenever one heads over to this gorgeous city. Armed with a huge goal that day, both Joanne and I had agreed to move around by feet in the most comfortable outfit. It was a day planned for sightseeing, three outfit changes and also a dinner booking to rush to at the end of the day! Seeing how we will be moving around most of the day, again, dressing in comfort is the key just like anyone else whom is travelling on their holiday! Just a few days before my trip, I've stumbled across this denim overall dress when I was casually going through the Sale Rack in General Pants & Co! I've been buying a lot of overalls last year, three to be precise and I'm not sure if it's just me, bu[...]

Get Your Swag On

Staying in one of the most gorgeous neighbourhoods in Sydney, it's inevitable that the street just right outside Joanne's apartment is so picturesque. Skipping right onto Boxing Day, all of us girls took note from the day before that we should braced ourselves with the crowd that's going to fill every inch of walking space in the city and also to dress in pieces where we can be ever so efficient in when it comes to fittings. Of course, advice often fall on deaf ears when it comes to us girls or rather just me. This is probably the only day in the year where the stores in the Australian shores open as early as 6 in the morning. What more reason is there to celebrate on that day apart from Christmas? :P Foreseeing that it will be a tough day, getting ahead of people just to grab that [...]

Talking Business

This has to be the quickest post that I had ever done immediately right after a trip. You'd probably have Joanne from Struck By Sunshine to thank, if not for her constant threats. I'm not sure if it's just me, but it was definitely a nightmare getting into Sydney on the first day as I always fall sick whenever I catch a plane and the worst was that my flight was delayed. Putting all the negativity aside, I persevered and kept reminding myself that I was there to make the most out of it! As soon as I got to Joanne's apartment located in the heart of the city, I was instantly captivated by the breathtaking view of Sydney just right outside of her balcony. Gone are the days where I've been longing to be back in a bustling city. It was a day plainly for us to indulge in what we hope[...]

Party Hat Tricks

HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone! I'm back in Perth after the most wonderful holiday in Sydney filled with adventures and stories that are left to tell in future posts to come! Before I do just that, I just can't forgo telling everyone what a wonderful birthday celebration I had with my favourite girls! As we're all grown up independent women (GIRL, we goin' Destiny's Child), it's high time that we do what the ladies usually do and bond over. A high-tea session in Hyatt Regency couldn't be more apt. Seeing how closely-knit we are, of course going to ladylike places will not hide every bit of unattractive expressions that we show one another as our signs of affection. Take snapchats for example, anyone would be so appalled if our pictures exchange were to be leaked out. Which brings me t[...]

Spring Nights

Hope everyone is enjoying their last two days of the Year 2013 because I totally am ending with one of the biggest bangs in Sydney! The last whole week was definitely filled with so much fun which I will share it with you on this blog soon. So much had been going on, which was one of the reasons why I hadn't been able to sit down to write a blog post over a month. It was a fairly warm spring night back when we were out celebrating the Lights Festival in Perth with of my friends, I said that I've never went to this festival before for the last four years that I am here so it's a must that at least attend it this year. Seeing how it is a big event which will be filled with huge crowd, I've opted to go for a casual dress which also gives me some space to breathe if it gets a bit too h[...]

Eye of the Tiger

Today marks the first few days of Summer and what embodies the word summer better than a spontaneous trip to the beach for some tan while cooling down with a cup of frozen yoghurt with your best friend. Gone are the days where you don't have an ounce of energy to move away from the comfort of your bed, but only high levels of hyperactivity and pure fun to keep me going for the forthcoming months. It was such a perfect somewhat shady day and we didn't have any plans scheduled for the day, till Inge thought of heading to the beach. For a moment, the idea of beach seemed rather odd as it has been months since that 'going for a tan' would be considered as an activity during the chilly months. It wasn't until it kicked in and we jumped out of joy at the sound of it and spontaneity took [...]

In Full Bloom

Every year as spring arrives, the flowers growing in full bloom never fails to lift my mood up high. Gone are the gloomy days and it's definitely the time of the year for me to whip out my florals and brightly coloured pieces which I had been saving up from my constant purchases throughout the year. I'm sure almost everyone had a piece in their wardrobe where they're just finding the perfect excuse to wear and I'm clearly not an exception to that as well! I've purchased this fluffy sleeved top two years back thinking how unique the sleeves just are. With that voluminous feature on my knit top, it's best to bear in mind that you want to keep the other part of the outfit sticks close to your body as the top itself has contributed the much needed volume of an outfit. Going with the[...]

Boy meets Girl

As a person whom constantly search the internet for inspiration from street style pictures of other stylish talents particularly during fashion weeks hosted all over the world, I couldn't help but wanting to feel for a change, to be in one of the 'street style' snaps instead. One of the many reasons why street style remains as one of my biggest inspiration is that the styles that were being captured, they all depict an individual's personality and characteristics through his or her sense of style. So raw and original, I simply love how each is able to tell a story, the character and behaviour of each person if you were to scrutinize what and how they wear an outfit. It does hold some truth to the saying 'a picture paint a thousand words'. As Perth Fashion Festival was running th[...]

Perth Fashion Festival 2013

A few weeks back, I was lucky enough to be able to attend a few of the shows hosted during Perth Fashion Festival 2013. Even though the whole fashion week was raining on most days, that didn't steer me away from going and getting myself drenched in the cold stormy weather. Though it was really tempting to stay at home in the nice weather, I'm so, so glad that I went ahead with my first decision. I was exhilarated to be able to witness the well-put together shows like Curtin Tenth Year Retrospective, and Restyle Runway Program! There were some extraordinary pieces that the models had on while walking down the runway. Soft, lacy and feminine fabrics while maintaining the structure of the design, I love all the ones that were captured below particularly the white piece by Kezia soedjo[...]
