Macho Bananas

HELLLOOOOO to all you chic-sters out there, hope everyone has planned a wonderful weekend ahead or if you haven't, take a breather from what you're doing and head out to experience every little detail in your surrounding. So, so good for the soul and I'm really thankful that my beautiful Saturday is here, yet again! It's been a busy week for me and I've got some exciting stuffs coming up soon so do watch out on this space! ;) Denim pieces has always been a staple in my wardrobe because it's such a versatile piece for many different styles out there. Pale, dark, white-washed, tie-dyed, 50 shades of blue (hahaha so corny!) or even printed denim! There's just so much you can do to denim that you'll get a headache from thinking all the endless possibilities. However, I'll just focus mai[...]

Reflection

Living in a city far away from home, a slower paced one to be exact, I managed to squeeze some personal time by myself just wandering through the streets in Perth. Drowning myself in its beauty at sunset that I wouldn't be able to observe on my usual busy mundane routine, it's only then I will be able to take a breather and just listen to the rhythmic waves that hits against the shore like the pulses of a beating heart. To be able to witness this and capture its beauty (though I would say that it is much more beautiful to see it with your own eyes, and a pair of glasses in my case haha!), I couldn't be more thankful for being able to live in this city for the last few years. It is this year that I realised how much I have grown mentally and also spiritually as a person. I would nev[...]

Urban Cool

How is everyone out there enjoying their long weekend (for those in Australia) or Monday? Waking up this morning wishing how blissful it will be to have a three day weekend every single week. For awhile now, I have been crossing the lines experimenting with various looks and pieces in the hopes of achieving a look with a strong urban cool sense of style. I have to admit that I was probably watching too much of Step Up series which could potentially be one of the main reason that sparked off this idea. But then again, it's always nice to give yourself a challenge to match the available pieces from your wardrobe to put a new look altogether! For this look that I put on, I thought of keeping it simple by pairing a warm down vest which my mum had gotten me from Uniqlo and a print[...]

Breton Stripes

Morning loves! If you might have noticed, my blog has been undergoing a huge makeover and it still is, yikes! I've been using the old template for a few years now and I just thought that it is now time for me to establish a proper website for my new blog, so here it is! Please, please do leave me a comment below or contact me if you have any suggestions or ideas that on what you would like to see in my blog! That'll be really helpful and highly appreciated. Breton stripes has always been one of the most accommodating print in the dictionary of prints. If you're heading for the subtle key, there are endless possibilities on how you can pair a stripe print piece. But if your style are leaning towards the loud side of prints, stripes could match with any (literally, just any!) other p[...]

Boston Terrier

Hi everyone, I hope that all of you had a fabulous week just like how I enjoyed mine! :) A little random fact about myself would be that I'm a lover of all things quirky, which means that I'll be sold if you show me a pair of flats that's designed around an animal. And how much better can it get when it's of a dog's breed! That's just the perfect icing on the cake above all things. Considering that this was also taken back in Malaysia, where the hot and humid weather only permits choices of clothing which allows for maximum breeze. At the same time, seeing how it was Chinese New Year then, it wouldn't be ideal to rock up at your relatives' houses in a pair of denim shorts and tee. One of the prettiest buy that I got myself during my Melbourne trip was this pair of ch[...]

A Night to Remember

As far as I can go back to the memories etched in my mind, the only time I really enjoyed watching fireworks on New Year's Eve was back in the days when we celebrated entering into the new millenium. That was probably one of the biggest events then and, that's also when the trend of putting fireworks on every new year eve begins. It's funny how the years after just do not bring as much excitement like the last one and consequently, making the annual fireworks just another publicity event solely for publicity purposes. That being said, I'm only referring to the ones in Malaysia as far as I am aware of. But then again, I guess that's just one of the way things work and it also boils down to the individual him/herself on how to turn just another event into a night to remember with just a [...]

Shining in Brighton

What better way to end the last day of the year with a bang other than to spend the day seeing all things bright and shiny. And to make it even more obvious, where else in Melbourne would you be able to find a beach lined with brightly coloured huts none other than the Brighton Beach! It was quite a bummer at the same time that the owners of the cafe have decided to take a rest on the last day, because I was looking forward on going to Mart 130 for a nice brunch! Plus, it wasn't really helping when our next random pick of cafe was closed as well. I guess it's true what they've say, 'Third time's the charm' when we stumbled upon Inkr7 Bar and Grill. We were famished by the time we found ourselves seated, the aroma coming from the open kitchen was simply testing o[...]

Cotton Candy

This might probably sound shallow to some but I absolutely adore all the movies and drama series that revolves around styles. It's how they show an individual's characteristic through the means of clothing and exaggerates it, and I really like that. Consequently, it got me thinking that, why shouldn't we make a statement and express ourselves that way by going all out, just because. And that's exactly what I did on the fifth day of our Melboure Trip where we've planned on heading to the parks and doing a whole bunch of sight seeings. I don't think it's weird or ever wrong if you just want to go to the park in a dress that makes you feel like a ball of fluff! It's funny because when we started our morning by meeting Valerie, the only thing that came of her first mouth before ev[...]

Yin & Yang

Well, all I can say is, you know that tiny obssesion that Belle from Beauty and the Beast has with books and libraries, the majestic architecture and the whiff of smell you get from the old pages? We had that exact same feeling on the forth day of our trip when we stepped into Melbourne's National Library. It was a day of getting to know Melbourne city itself a little more by visiting most of the famous spots that we heard of greatly. Not forgetting, it was also a day to shop. We headed to the State Library the very first thing in the morning, to avoid the 'crowd' because we thought that it might be a litte too loud with our cameras' shutter noises. It was a tad bit daunting when we have to pass by some security personnel before getting into the main hall, because as muc[...]
