The Great Ocean Drive

After spending all day in the city a day before, we thought that it will be the next best thing to travel further down to the Great Ocean Drive just to surround ourselves with the amazing beauty of mother Earth. Long before the trip, this was one of top of our 'Must-Visit' places in Melbourne and I'm really glad that Valerie agreed on taking us on this road trip! I told her that she had just signed up for a big deal of fun with me around when it comes to a road trip! A great big thank you to you, valerie! It couldn't just get any better when Valerie took us for some breakfast at a small cosy cafe called Hardware Societe which was located nearby our apartment before adjourning on the few hours of long drive. She reckoned that this was a good place for b[...]

Boxing Day

A day that we've been waiting for all year round, to be honest, I hardly shop whenever I'm in Australia, and that is definitely not an understatement that's coming from me. Reason being that I believe everything is overpriced here for some reasons. But then again, I expected myself to go crazy beforehand considering that boxing day sales has to be the craziest all year round, and with stories from everyone on how there is a queue starting from early wee hours of the morning, it would be sensible to think that there has to be a lot of great bargains isn't it? Thankfully we're staying right smack in the middle of the city so it would only take a few minutes of walk to the city centre! Ahhh, the perks of staying in the city. It wasn't long till we wal[...]

The City that Stole My Heart

Melbourne. Well known for its concentrated art culture, a mix between Perth and yet, not losing the buzz city lifestyle filled with life. I have been anticipating to go to Melbourne for the last few years, and thankfully my girlfriend and I decided to make it happen a few months back and that's when we bought our tickets and there isn't any way back! ;-) Two students whom met all the way back in uni whilst studying accounting, both of us having a burning passion for photography and fashion styling respectively. We figured that we could make this trip our first collaboration together, considering that she's moved to Sydney and I'm still here in Perth! Therefore, this mini reunion could be our first step to a bigger path down our dreams. Took the earliest flight to Melbo[...]

Carnival

WOW GUYS, I just came back from the best styling class ever and I almost cried a happy tear. I can't really say much but I think what ever that is happening to me right now, there's a reason on why it's happening, even if it looks bad on the first impression. All I have to say is that, it was the most inspirational class, EVER. Shall elaborate more on that when my kind of miracle happens. ;-) Well look at what I've got here, my long obligated post but as the saying goes, it's better late than never! It's been a ALMOST a year since Perth Royal Show 2011, I know that because P.R.S 2012 is taking place not long from now! Hadn't noticed that these were sitting in a hidden folder all these while, which now explains why I've always had that tingly obligated feeling, as I always reassure[...]

Emerald City

It's been awhile since I've sat down in front of my computer having nothing to do except blogging. How does anyone even get the time to do so many things with just a two-days weekend?!?! Anyywayyy, there was an eco fair two weeks back held in Mosman Park which I've never even heard of or even been to. Silly enough of both Joy and I, we decided to venture out and headed there to have a look at what's being sold! You should know by now that getting lost is our forte because I have lost count of not knowing where I am every single time I am in a new place hahah! I felt like as if we were child again because there was a tent stationed in the middle of the fair where a huge load of unused wood board was placed for children to play with. There were hammer and nails pr[...]

A Feminine Take

Having seen so many British inspired styles that boys don on the internet and searching religiously on the it sparked an idea of inspiration to me lately. Or shall I say, the slumbering boy character in me has finally awaken. Did I tell you that I find guys that dresses up in the British high street style are exceptionally visually pleasing? Aaaaanyway, I was looking around for pieces in my wardrobe if I could create a British Boy outfit but with a slight feminine touch just to keep things fresh! It really gives you a sense of satisfaction when you combine the common basics that you often wear on its own and make it into something entirely different and new. Being one of the shirts that has been worn to death for its light weighted fabric and aesthetic reasons, I've [...]

Cottlesloe Beach

Just last two mondays, it was the long awaited Labour Day and it happens to be my very first public holiday ever since I start working so can you imagine how excited I was?! I didn't used to have the privilege of having public holidays during my days in university because it simply does not exist within the university's context booooo! Had a really good breakfast of Eggs Benedict with Smoked Salmon at a nearby cafe which is sinfully delicious but it really isn't a good idea if you're heading to the beach in a bikini! The temperature climbed up to 36degrees on that day so it was pretty good for a tan but got more than I asked for in the end! Skin got burnt and I looked like I've paint part of my body with brown paint. Coincidentally there was an art exhi[...]

Fur for Truffle Festival

Just a week ago, I attended my very first food festival in Perth after all these years! For this one, it was all about truffles, truffles and more truffles! Going with the rhyme, so I thought this would be a great time for me to wear my faux fur gilet! My precious precious fur vest. The desperate things I would do to get hold of this treasure of mine! I've always asked my friends if they have any desperate shopping stories to share just so I wouldn't feel so alone hehe but it seems like I have too many it's not even funny! As soon as we got there, the rain was pouring so badly with strong cold winds, I was beyond freezing!! But as the weather tends to have its own PMS, it was all sunny minutes later. So Thank God for that. We were greeted b[...]

Kalamunda Market on a Sunshine Sunny Day

I think I'm starting to get attracted to all kinds of hats!! Be it floppy hats, trilby or fedora, and flower headpieces like as if I'm Rapunzel! It's already bad enough that I've started my headband collection just 2 years ago and NOW HATS!!! Not to mention about my jackets/coats addiction and clothes!!! thankfully, the shoes and bags fetish haven't grown on me yet. As soon as I got back to Perth, my sister took me to a market far far away up on a hill!! NO seriously, i'm not making the Disney Princess story up but the market is really on a hill LITERALLY! And the funny thing is, it's only going to be there every first Saturday of the month so yay for that Saturday! There was a stall selling all kinds of fruity flavoured ice and omg it reminds [...]
