Geometry

Simply iconic and exclusive to Sydney, visiting the Opera House was undoubtedly one of the places TO VISIT whenever one heads over to this gorgeous city. Armed with a huge goal that day, both Joanne and I had agreed to move around by feet in the most comfortable outfit. It was a day planned for sightseeing, three outfit changes and also a dinner booking to rush to at the end of the day! Seeing how we will be moving around most of the day, again, dressing in comfort is the key just like anyone else whom is travelling on their holiday! Just a few days before my trip, I've stumbled across this denim overall dress when I was casually going through the Sale Rack in General Pants & Co! I've been buying a lot of overalls last year, three to be precise and I'm not sure if it's just me, bu[...]

Get Your Swag On

Staying in one of the most gorgeous neighbourhoods in Sydney, it's inevitable that the street just right outside Joanne's apartment is so picturesque. Skipping right onto Boxing Day, all of us girls took note from the day before that we should braced ourselves with the crowd that's going to fill every inch of walking space in the city and also to dress in pieces where we can be ever so efficient in when it comes to fittings. Of course, advice often fall on deaf ears when it comes to us girls or rather just me. This is probably the only day in the year where the stores in the Australian shores open as early as 6 in the morning. What more reason is there to celebrate on that day apart from Christmas? :P Foreseeing that it will be a tough day, getting ahead of people just to grab that [...]

Talking Business

This has to be the quickest post that I had ever done immediately right after a trip. You'd probably have Joanne from Struck By Sunshine to thank, if not for her constant threats. I'm not sure if it's just me, but it was definitely a nightmare getting into Sydney on the first day as I always fall sick whenever I catch a plane and the worst was that my flight was delayed. Putting all the negativity aside, I persevered and kept reminding myself that I was there to make the most out of it! As soon as I got to Joanne's apartment located in the heart of the city, I was instantly captivated by the breathtaking view of Sydney just right outside of her balcony. Gone are the days where I've been longing to be back in a bustling city. It was a day plainly for us to indulge in what we hope[...]

Party Hat Tricks

HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone! I'm back in Perth after the most wonderful holiday in Sydney filled with adventures and stories that are left to tell in future posts to come! Before I do just that, I just can't forgo telling everyone what a wonderful birthday celebration I had with my favourite girls! As we're all grown up independent women (GIRL, we goin' Destiny's Child), it's high time that we do what the ladies usually do and bond over. A high-tea session in Hyatt Regency couldn't be more apt. Seeing how closely-knit we are, of course going to ladylike places will not hide every bit of unattractive expressions that we show one another as our signs of affection. Take snapchats for example, anyone would be so appalled if our pictures exchange were to be leaked out. Which brings me t[...]

Eye of the Tiger

Today marks the first few days of Summer and what embodies the word summer better than a spontaneous trip to the beach for some tan while cooling down with a cup of frozen yoghurt with your best friend. Gone are the days where you don't have an ounce of energy to move away from the comfort of your bed, but only high levels of hyperactivity and pure fun to keep me going for the forthcoming months. It was such a perfect somewhat shady day and we didn't have any plans scheduled for the day, till Inge thought of heading to the beach. For a moment, the idea of beach seemed rather odd as it has been months since that 'going for a tan' would be considered as an activity during the chilly months. It wasn't until it kicked in and we jumped out of joy at the sound of it and spontaneity took [...]

Line em' up

Many a time, I've always contemplated getting plain white tees with slogans because there is only so many times that you can wear them without overkilling it. However, I've succumbed to getting Michael Agwunobi's tees when I laid my eyes on them, lo and behold, all my opinion on tees were thrown out of the window instantly. In fact, I almost missed my flight back home for Chinese New Year while fighting with the rest of the world virtually while purchasing this tee. That was, what I'd call, an intense battle. Much like the statement of my tee, line up the bitches. It wasn't long after till I get into a full on obsession with slogan tees because they're just so versatile to play around with. There are just so many ways one can[...]

Boston Terrier

Hi everyone, I hope that all of you had a fabulous week just like how I enjoyed mine! :) A little random fact about myself would be that I'm a lover of all things quirky, which means that I'll be sold if you show me a pair of flats that's designed around an animal. And how much better can it get when it's of a dog's breed! That's just the perfect icing on the cake above all things. Considering that this was also taken back in Malaysia, where the hot and humid weather only permits choices of clothing which allows for maximum breeze. At the same time, seeing how it was Chinese New Year then, it wouldn't be ideal to rock up at your relatives' houses in a pair of denim shorts and tee. One of the prettiest buy that I got myself during my Melbourne trip was this pair of ch[...]

Pink and Teal

Greetings love! It has definitely been ages since I've last blogged but if you hadn't noticed, I've been doing a big shift from http://melissa.momo4ever.com to this newly set up site Sparkles and Fox! It surely did took me awhile before I settle for a name because I wanted something where I can use till the end of time, possibly.. If you've noticed, I'm still in the midst of setting up my blog and I did gather some blog posts on this site from my previous blog, but if you would want to read all my posts from years before, feel free to head over to http://sparklesandfox.wordpress.com/. It's good to be back to keep the ball rolling, so why don't I start from where I'm supposed to have blogged about months ago? These pictures were taken back in February when I was still in Malaysia[...]

Shining in Brighton

What better way to end the last day of the year with a bang other than to spend the day seeing all things bright and shiny. And to make it even more obvious, where else in Melbourne would you be able to find a beach lined with brightly coloured huts none other than the Brighton Beach! It was quite a bummer at the same time that the owners of the cafe have decided to take a rest on the last day, because I was looking forward on going to Mart 130 for a nice brunch! Plus, it wasn't really helping when our next random pick of cafe was closed as well. I guess it's true what they've say, 'Third time's the charm' when we stumbled upon Inkr7 Bar and Grill. We were famished by the time we found ourselves seated, the aroma coming from the open kitchen was simply testing o[...]
