Of Sheer Maxi and Stripes

I used to envision myself as a workaholic or somewhat when I grow up and start working, but guess whose the one who runs out of the office as soon as the clock strikes 5! I’ve survived 3 weeks of work but the workload has just started rolling in yesterday and I can sadly tell you that my brain is temporarily damaged. I couldn’t even tell out simple conversations or that I’m supposed to put soap into the washing machine when I do the laundry. Kids, stay away from accounting while you can. LOL!

Anyway, as we were staying in a hotel just right behind Bugis Street, I’ve been wanting to see the markets and have a look at what little nitty bitty things they would be selling but my mum hesitated and told everyone that it will be just like any night market you’ll see in Malaysia. I sulked the whole night so they gave in and would you believe it that my mum bought the most bracelets in the world from that market? They were actually quite a bargain because I’ve seen some stores in K.L selling at double the price!

Anyway, I was dead tired from the excessive walking on the day before so there isn’t many outfit photos because I just looked ‘posture-ritically’ wrong. Plus, it’s just one of those lazy days where you would just want to put on a dress and head out. I really love dresses because they are just such brilliant lazy outfits, it’s just a matter of perking up your look with statement accessories.

Almost fell for the pretty coloured flowers and bought one back home because I thought they were genuinely this colour but the lady has to spray her flowers with coloured spray cans right in front of me! That pretty much spoils my whole intention so yes I SAVED $2 at least?

For starters, I never really liked maxi previously as I have always believe that they’ll make you look stumpy but I just couldn’t get my eyes away from this one. Knowing how my shoulders actually falls at a weird angle, the padded shoulders gives an extra definition to my neckline. On the other hand, as I’m still fairly obsessed with sheer fabrics, I like a little hint of legs from the maxi skirt.

It’s a shame that I have actually forgotten about this goodie and left it hidden behind my closet for almost a year!

Satiated my cravings for Asian Street Hawker Food at Albert’s Hawker Centre! I find it really weird that I can tend to eat meals which I would usually call them ‘lunch’ when I’m in Perth for breakfast. Is it just me or does everyone do the same too?

Took a cab to visit the older side of Singapore, the malls that I used to go when I was a kid. It didn’t really change much as I can still perfectly picture the routes in the shopping centres and everything around. It was certainly a day dedicated to eating. Sugarcane water and grilled sotong and I’m actually amazed that there’s machines for snacks like these!! Anyway, it’s going to be definitely one of the trips that I’m going to miss and placed in my heart forever. It’s been years since all of us four go on a holiday to Singapore just like how we used to when I was a kid.
