It’s been awhile since I’ve sat down in front of my computer having nothing to do except blogging. How does anyone even get the time to do so many things with just a two-days weekend?!?! Anyywayyy, there was an eco fair two weeks back held in Mosman Park which I’ve never even heard of or even been to. Silly enough of both Joy and I, we decided to venture out and headed there to have a look at what’s being sold! You should know by now that getting lost is our forte because I have lost count of not knowing where I am every single time I am in a new place hahah!
I felt like as if we were child again because there was a tent stationed in the middle of the fair where a huge load of unused wood board was placed for children to play with. There were hammer and nails provided and we were pretty much psyched because I have not done any wood work since I was back in high school! It was certainly a joy to be playing with hammers and nails. I particularly liked how Joy creatively turned hers into a tag for her future eco clothing label.
I had been considering on getting a bicycle here and was just ideally saying that it should be a pink bike with a basket in front with my colleague just right the other. Then BAM saw it at this eco fair but it costs a freaking $1000 which was quite unexpected, really! Then when Joy and I looked further, there was a draw to win a bicycle and that did get me excited for awhile hahahah thinking the pink one was the prize!!! Soon after, she pointed out to me that it was the ugly used one that’s being presented as the prize instead.
-________________- Trust me, it was a far cry from the pink one.
I know this is the weirdest way to relate things, but somehow it reminded me of Rebecca Bloomwood’s sister from the Shopaholic Book Series by Sophie Kinsella. Seeing how every product or fresh produce are ecologically certified(???), I know that it is something great and everyone should start being aware or start practising but I just felt that because it hasn’t been practised widely enough, it’s going to be such a chore to be green! But oh well, at least wearing a green leather jacket is the first step to being green right?
It didn’t took us long to finish the whole fair because it was quite small to begin with. There was a cute kitchen on a van selling eco ice-cream and we picked coffee hazelnut flavour and it was to die for! Sat by the roadside t licking the ice-cream off the our wooden ice-cream spoons and getting fairly excited when I spotted my first dalmatian in perth in these 3 years made my day.
I was wearing:
Zara Green Leather Jacket
Cheap Mondays Skinny Blue Jeans
Versace for H&M Scarf
Bernice Sara Starfish Cuff Bracelet
Valentino Rudy Rose Pink Flats
